We have drove past this place many times but it either isn’t good timing for us to stop or it is closed, so when I drove past the other day and saw the opening times for the summer I decided that we had to take Dylan too it with his love for Thomas!
Ads parents took Amellia out for the day so we decided that we would take Dylan along to Drumawhey Junction Railway to see what he would make of it and to see what all was there.
When we got there we were greeted by a lovely man in the ticket shed who explained to us the prices, how the family pass worked and what was going on. We were amazed at how great the prices were and couldn’t wait to get on one of the trains.
Thankfully the place was very quiet so we got to get on the train as soon as we got there, we had no clue how long the track was, or what we would see but we had our fingers tightly crossed that Dylan would enjoy the train ride and not go crazy or try and get off mid ride.
He loved it, and so did we. The track was a whole lot longer than we expected and we went round it a few times, each time we spotted something new. Ornaments were hidden all around, ones of animals, Disney characters and some beautiful scenery. It was really lovely.
We then went on a different train around the track again. We all really enjoyed ourselves and it was a lovely little afternoon. If you have a train loving little one I really do encourage you to go here!
