Shredded Paper!

Who knew something so simple could bring such joy!
I got a parcel in the post.. which obviously bought me joy, but then after taking out of it what I had ordered I had a great idea.. kind of!
We have been told to try and get our little man to do a lot of messy play/feeling different things.. anything sensory related to try and encourage him to eat better, which personally I thought was an odd suggestion until they told me that your hands and the feelings you accept on your hands is very similar to the way it feels when in your mouth! So we are hoping that if we encourage him to feel as much possible it will help with his eating! It isn’t as simple as it sounds.. as he refuses to touch anything that looks different generally! So when I opened my parcel I took out my things and noticed that the shredded paper felt a bit different, so I thought lets just see what the wee man makes of it!
He loved it! He was throwing it everywhere and by the end of it he was letting me put it on his legs without a fuss and passing it to me for me to do it again for him!
He was laughing, coming to me to engage in play, feeling something different, and trying to make eye contact! It was just fabulous. . and very simple to brush up after!
I really encourage you to use anything and everything for them to play with! Something that you think won’t be fun, or is just going to go in the bin, let your little one have a look at it! (if its safe for them obviously!) You never know what they will enjoy and learn from!

This shredded paper ended up in a fantastic learning experience for him with lots of fun too!img_2175WeeOhana xx

New Addition!

Meet our beautiful new addition to our little family; Lilo!
She is just so beautiful, cuddly and adorable! We got her when she was 6 weeks old, the poor litter of pups got rejected by there mummy, so we took her on! She has her second injection tomorrow which I’m a little nervous about! As long as she doesn’t throw a strop with me about it then its ok! =]

She is called Lilo because well, we love Lilo & Stitch if you didn’t already know! πŸ˜› She is a Jack Russell x something.. the vet thinks that she is a Jack Russel x Shih tzu! What is your guess? I just love her little floppy ears, her fluffiness, she is just so wonderful! She is so cuddly and just lovely with the little ones! In-fact, my little boy seems to be her most favorite person in the family! Anytime he lays down to go to sleep, she just cuddles into him and falls asleep herself! But look at how just adorable it is when they cuddle!
wpid-imag5203.jpg

Eeek, aren’t they just the sweetest little things! Though she does have a lot of fun with my little girl too! In particular wasting a lot of energy running about the garden and playing tug of war in the living room! Though they both need reminded when it is time to calm down.. or they would run hyper all day and night!
wpid-img_20150708_204737.jpg

Though they all do love a cuddle together so that is always a positive!
She seems to be getting a hang of the toilet training business, when she needs to do a poo she barks at you which is just fantastic.. wee’s well we are getting there! Not too many accidents and I am very proud of her! So I won’t do bad to that!

This is her most favorite way to sleep! Look how tiny she is! ❀ Though not to tiny to be a handbag dog! πŸ˜› Fluffy, happiness and beautiful all in one little place!

Have you recently got a new puppy or got an older dog now with any magical advice that you have for me?Β  =]
I am just loving having a little bundle of joy in my life! She is also fantastic company for me whenever the hubby is in work, aw she is just so cute & cuddly! =]
Shower me with pictures, advice and everything puppy! =D

Crawfordsburn Country Park!

Recently I have decided that we as a family, will be going out more! As comical as that sounds, you sometimes get stuck in a rut of relaxing, seeing family and the such whenever you are all free. Though we need us time, time to spend doing fun things as a family, making memories, having fun and just enjoying being together! So every time the husband is off work, we are going to do something! Go for a walk, exploring, visiting fun sites! I am going to compile a list of things/places that I want to visit and each time he is off we are going to tick another one off! =] I will put the list up here whenever I have it sorted, and it may give you some ideas of what to do if you’re from Northern Ireland or if you come here on a visit!

The first place that we went to was Crawfordsburn Country Park. It is basically a lovely forest walk, and there is also a beach too, so its sort of like two things in one! If you explore deep enough into the forest you can find a waterfall. Where you park there is also a little visitors center, which on our visit had a great range of stuffed animals, information about sea pollution and little activities to do with the young ones! It was fab! They also had a lovely little cafe which we got some food in and it was rather delicious!

We didn’t get to explore deep enough to find the waterfall, but that is because we first of all went to a field in the park and she ran about like crazy there and then went to the beach! We went for a nice walk into the forest, but we couldn’t find the waterfall and by the time that we were on the right track (or at least we thought we were ;]) she was knackered.. and I was pretty hungry! My little man was also nearing his bottle time, so we headed to the visitors center & cafe. My little girl then got distracted by the activities and looking at the stuffed animals, there was also a badger den that you could crawl about inside! She was eager to do this, but not being very keen on the dark.. she asked daddy to go in with her.. which he did! It was comical to watch, but very adorable! He would do anything for her, and there special little bond is just wonderful! It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside watching them play together, run about, make up stories, cuddle and just be themselves with each other, its amazing! Something I was very worried my daughter wouldn’t get with a man, and now she has! :]

Dylan was in his carrier and loved looking about and seeing the world from a proper view! He was gurgling and smiling away, it was so nice that we could go to a country park, walk about the muddy path and the beach without worrying about navigating a pram! It felt great us all having fun, enjoying the fresh air, running about the beach without having to feel like one of us couldn’t be involved(well two really) because we had to stand with the pram!

After exploring the visitor center we then went and got a bite to eat, my little girl got a giant plate of chicken nuggets & chips, which I was surprised with how much she ate! Me & the hubby got fancy sandwiches.. which I must say were very delicious and some chips which were just yum! The little man… well obviously he enjoyed some milk!

So it was a fabulous day out all in all! Some lovely weather, tasty grub, exercise, fantastic company and bonding with my wonderful family! I do love them so much and they are just wonderful! I don’t tell them often enough! I really appreciate and enjoy days out! They mean a lot and bring wonderful happy memories with them!

Me & my wonderful pair! ❀

Magical babywearing moment <3Β

Thirteen days on from getting my Connecta baby carrier and I am falling even more in love with it day by day! I have been carrying him more and more as I get used to putting it on easier, he appears to be getting more comfortable in it and I am starting to realise all that I can do with him in his little carrier! This morning he just wasn’t a happy bunny being left to sit by himself in his bumbo, his swinging chair or laying on the floor! I needed to get my little girl her breakfast sorted and then entertained! I knew he needed to go to sleep, I just didnt have the time to cuddle him to sleep! I put him in the connecta convinced that after ten minuites he would be unhappy and would want to be cuddled to sleep as he had never slept in it before! I thought though, ten minuites is better than nothing and I can at least get my little girls breakfast in a bowl and ready for her to eat! While she was eating I also got the dishes sorted all while my little man was looking about at everything that was happening!

It was a very successful morning, we then went on to play with Kenectic Sand & Floam, my little man loved touching these and feeling the different textures all the time while being in his carrier! It meant that he was out of harms way, my three year old little girl got to play without mummy having to leave several times to cuddle/settle/fed her little brother!

I then decided to be even more adventerous and try some arts & crafts with him being so well behaved! While I was doing this the most fantastic thing happened! He fell asleep while in his carrier! It was such a special moment because normally when he is getting tired and in it he gets adgitated so I have taken him out and cuddled him to sleep, but today I didn’t have too! I could carry on playing with my little girl while he peafullly slept and was close by so I didn’t have to keep going back and checking on him!

It probably sounds like the most ridiculous thing to many of you, but it was the most magical, meaningful and heart fulfilling thing that has happened since he was born! He found comfort in simply just being close to me, listening to my heart beat and my voice while I chatted with my little girl about what we were doing! I have been having a tough time with many things recently, but this.. It just made it all go away for a little while ❀

How dam adorable is he!

What special moments have happened to you guys that meant so much? It could be anything at all, I would just love to know! =]

Project life, January

I made a start on my project life the other day … and my oh my, isn’t it addictive! I now have about 10000 bits of card laying about the house in two different sizes and many different patterns.. and I still want to buy more! They are just all so dam adorable, cute or beautiful that it is to hard to resist! At least I have my sister to swap the with .. it reminds me of when we were younger and we used to collect trading cards and you would swap them with your friends a siblings!

This is my album which I got from here. They have a great selection of albums, but my favourite was;

IMG_0281

I ordered my cards for in it from amazon and ebay … just be carful when looking on these sites for them, it is far too addictive and they are all just so pretty and lovely! I already have more coming in the post, but this is my collection already, which I think could fill several folders with!

IMG_0282

So I did my first page and my January page the other day… I never realised quite how many pictures I took.. trying to choose just a select few was a pretty challenging task! Though it was really nice to look back through all my pictures from January and pick a few! I always take loads of pictures but would only really look through them whenever I took the notion or remembered a moment and wanted to have a nosey at what pictures I had took!

For my first page, well here is a picture;

IMG_0277

Just plain and simple really I suppose, has 2015 as that is the year and I plan to do these for a good few years so thought that would be nice and easy to see which is which. the quotes around it is because well, so that it reads “hello 2015, you are simply wonderful”.. I know 2015 is going to be wonderful because I have my perfect little family and I can’t wait for my little man to start to grow & learn, My little girl is going to love whenever he can sit up, play, laugh and everything else that little ones do! A quote from Winnie the pooh

You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”

I love this little quote and I think it rings true for most people, so its a little feel good quote thats at the front! The pictures are; my whole little family being silly & beautiful as always! Then my two precious little ones who are crazy in love, I couldn’t do this without them, they are just fantastic! ❀

My second page, which is for January & is a double page which I will be doing for each month, or special days etc;

IMG_0279-1

So obviously, includes pictures from January which include; Charlie Simpson, Me & one of my best friends, my family and so forth! Just pictures that I took in January that made me giggle and had plenty of happy memories along with them! Also a little card where i have written what we did & what the pictures are linked too etc! =]

I hope you guys like them! Do you guys have any pictures of your project life you would like to share? what do you think about this blog post? Like it or lump it? Be honest ;]

Pregnancy, Christmas & fun!

I really can’t get any inspiration on what to blog about…or inspiration to do anything for that matter.. But hey! Suppose that’s what the final run of pregnancy is like! Feeling like a beached whale at the moment! Just feel so large and heavy! on he final count down now! Tomorrow I will be 35 weeks, so 5 weeks till my due date, but baby is measuring 2+ weeks bigger, so I am up again on the first of December for another scan! The consultant also said she would check me to see if my body is ready to go into labour and if I am give me the sweep and possibly break my waters too if I am! So that’s pretty exciting! Means baby will be measuring 39+ if he keeps growing at the rate he is, so least that means he will be a healthy weight! They are doing it early for me because of the pain from my spd and because he is measuring big, the lady seemed quite concerned with his size considering that I am normally quite a small girl, she said that I have small hips etc, so him being large will be why I am so sore! I’m super excited to think that in less then three weeks I may have my baby in my arms! How mad is that.. I am so not ready.. But I don’t think I will be now until he is born! We have everything that we need for him ready and waiting now! It’s just a mater of getting him here! πŸ˜€ writing about it is actually getting me a little bit excited! Recently though I have had a few bouts of braxton hicks.. Which are for anyone who is unaware, like practice contractions so to speak! So apparently that shows that my body is ready! It also makes the whole giving birth thing and the pain sink in… I’m buggered I think the hubby is in for a real shock! Could see he was finding it hard and he didn’t want to leave when I was having a few BH, which is ever so lovely! πŸ™‚ made me feel a little bit special though I did make him go to work, as will need all the help after and don’t want to waste his precious days off! He is such a super star, was at my mum and dads house today as he had worked nights and came home to the house sparkling! I really don’t give him enough credit for all that he does, I do adore him so much πŸ™‚

The other day me and my little one made chocolate croissants for us all to have as breakfast! It was actually lovely all just sitting down and having breakfast together and she had such a laugh making them.. We did cheat a bit, it was a pack type idea where you just added the chocolate and rolled them up! Though it was scrummy and lots of fun for her! She loves baking and we did used to do it quite a bit together, but obviously at the moment it is quite hard to do this by myself, without a little one running about! The last time we properly baked together she poured flour all over the kitchen floor and had a blast making little foot prints in it.. So I think I’ll leave baking with her again for when the little one is here and having a nap! Then if she does decide to pour flour everywhere we can have a bit of a laugh in it rather than me panicking at how to clear it up when I can’t really brush the kitchen floor at the moment!

We are getting all excited about Christmas in our house at the moment! Mainly because of everywhere you go there is a Christmas tree, tinsel, Christmas decorations etc! Also it’s the first Christmas where my little angel understands (more or less) the whole Santa idea, presents, decorating and the likes! Today we went to a shopping centre to grab a few bits.. Every shop window she had to stop and excitedly jump up and down on the spot at the snowman, Santa, gingerbread man, lights or anything at all Christmassy! It did mean it took us a while to get to the bits we wanted to actually do, but it was so beautiful seeing how excited she got and how amazing it must be to be that small, young and innocent! It also though must feel like Christmas takes forever.. Because it is in the shops forever before Santa comes! It’s a bit depressing for me, I already have all her presents wrapped, and a few for baby brother so that she doesn’t ask why Santa didn’t come! Normally I am an Xmas eve/week wrapper and love wrapping them in front of a Christmas movie, with the fire on and a little drink! Obviously this year I couldn’t leave it to do that, just incase they decide they don’t want to induce me and baby decides to be very untimely and come on Christmas Eve or close! It also means that I won’t have to be worrying about wrapping when I have a tiny baby, or sitting on the floor etc.. Which those of us who have had babies know isn’t the comfiest of things to do πŸ˜‰ all her things are wrapped and safe in a bag, so I can just say to anyone to grab them tv just incase I can’t! Which would be horrible, but I’ll deal with that when and if it happens!

We have our Christmas tree going up day all planned! 30th of November! πŸ˜€ mainly because If I do go in on the first and there like yeah, your having a baby tomorrow or whatever I don’t have to worry about that when we get home.. Also because I can’t wait and the little one is super excited! The next time hubby is off we are going to go up to the disney store and purchasing some new cute decorations, then depending on how I feel maybe hunt out a few other cute bits and pieces! On the note of Christmas decorations.. I got the cutest Mickey Mouse nut cracker the other day off Amazon! He is amazing.. Though I don’t think he would serve much purpose as a nut cracker.. So I’m glad I bought him as a decoration! πŸ˜€ He is going to be one of those decorations that you keep for years and bring out every year! We aren’t ones to have a colour coordinated Christmas tree, we just go for complete and utter random ones, and ones that mean things to us and so forth! we really need a new artificial Christmas tree, but going to have to wait till next year for that as obviously have a few more important things this year πŸ˜‰
What do you think of Mickey Mouse then? I’m in love πŸ˜‰
image

I hope you have all been keeping well?
When will you be putting up your Christmas tree?
Oh and here’s my most recent paper cut! Not very Christmassy.. but I think its cute! What about you??
