Growing up!

I can’t quite believe that in only four days my little princess will be turning Four! It seems like only yesterdy she was a tiny little baby that needed every single thing done for her! She was a lovely litle 7.5lbs when she was born, and just stayed so tiny! She is still only 28lbs.. which is pretty tiny for four year olds! Considering that her ten month old baby brother is 21lbs! Soon he will be bigger than her!

She is such a kind hearted little soul! She adores her little brother and is constantly hugging & kissing him (not that he is a big fan of it!) and giving him toys! Obviously she has bad days and just doesn;t want him to touch any of her things.. but honestly, I don’t blame her! He isn’t the most light handed of children! Though she is also a very energetic little one and constantly wants to be on the move and bein filled full with new information! Lots of people find this hard to understand and think that she is being bold etc whenever she can’t sit still, is running circles, asking 1001 questions whnever you are trying to talk to someone. I love how inqusiive she is, how willing to learn, how egar to please she is but I can understand why people find it hard to understand sometimes, heck sometimes I wish she wuld just sit still for 10 minuites and not ask me questions about every little thing that happens! One day I said to her “Why do you ask so many questions!?!” and she replied with “Because I am inquisitive mummy”… first thing is first, where did she learn/hear that word? I don’t think I have ever used it in my life! Yet my three year old daughter can pluck this word from god knows where, put it in a scentence and use it properly! Help!?! In a few years time if she keeps up like this I will need a translator to explain to me what all these words mean!

I am still in denial that she is going to be four… and in a very girly way, she is having a man come to her party with snakes, lizards, tarantulas, owls etc! True her style ;] She just loves going out in the garden and hunting out bugs! Reminding her to keep them ouside sometimes is a bit of a task!

Now to think of some fun party games for them to do after they have played with all these animals! I’ll let you know how it goes! Do you find they grow up far to quick?

New Addition!

Meet our beautiful new addition to our little family; Lilo!
She is just so beautiful, cuddly and adorable! We got her when she was 6 weeks old, the poor litter of pups got rejected by there mummy, so we took her on! She has her second injection tomorrow which I’m a little nervous about! As long as she doesn’t throw a strop with me about it then its ok! =]

She is called Lilo because well, we love Lilo & Stitch if you didn’t already know! 😛 She is a Jack Russell x something.. the vet thinks that she is a Jack Russel x Shih tzu! What is your guess? I just love her little floppy ears, her fluffiness, she is just so wonderful! She is so cuddly and just lovely with the little ones! In-fact, my little boy seems to be her most favorite person in the family! Anytime he lays down to go to sleep, she just cuddles into him and falls asleep herself! But look at how just adorable it is when they cuddle!

Eeek, aren’t they just the sweetest little things! Though she does have a lot of fun with my little girl too! In particular wasting a lot of energy running about the garden and playing tug of war in the living room! Though they both need reminded when it is time to calm down.. or they would run hyper all day and night!

Though they all do love a cuddle together so that is always a positive!
She seems to be getting a hang of the toilet training business, when she needs to do a poo she barks at you which is just fantastic.. wee’s well we are getting there! Not too many accidents and I am very proud of her! So I won’t do bad to that!

This is her most favorite way to sleep! Look how tiny she is! ❤ Though not to tiny to be a handbag dog! 😛 Fluffy, happiness and beautiful all in one little place!

Sewing class!

I really must apologize for how long it has been since I lasted blogged. Something very tragic happened and we have been coping with that along with other news too! Moving on from that though…

I went on a sewing course with my sister which her lovely friend Jools teaches! This made it a lot easier seeing as I had never used a sewing machine in my life, and I was pretty convinced that I was going to fail at using one! I thought I was going to be heading to A&E after it with a needle stuck through my hand or something! Though I didn’t!

I first of all started my day with a very sweaty little girl roasting me awake! I looked at the clock and sprang out of bed, all excited for my new experience! So, I got a shower and got myself ready for a child free day.. they do exist! :O and started on my journey! My sister lives about a forty minute drive from my house, so as I was driving along I was just enjoying the sunshine and some head space for myself! Where my sister lives is just beautiful, every time I am there, even if it is just sitting in the car picking her up I get a sense of jealousy! Its such a lovely and peaceful place! Me & my sister had discussed what to wear before I had left my house.. and it being such a sunny day we deiced on sunshine clothes! Little summer dress & shorts… we should have guessed really.. but it ended up raining! It was then onwards to pick up Jools and head to our class! Though not before picking up a lovely caramel Latte!

We then went to the shop where Jools teaches some lovely folk how to use a sewing machine! When we first sat down she started to explain the machines, what everything did and how to do everything.. I got extremely lost and confused! Though she then showed us our fabric and told us she would explain things step by step as we went along.. phew what a relief! Here was my wonderful set-up. I was very excited and intrigued to get started!

As things progressed, and my sister and I discovered we need to use an iron… seriously, we were very shocked.. the only thing that gets ironed in this house is my hubbies work shirts, and he generally does that! So this was a whole new experience too! (I jest..kind of!)

After lots of chatting & guidance on what I was doing I was getting very excited by how my bag was starting to take shape! It wasn’t as stressful as I was expecting thankfully!

Here is an action shot of my sister, who was deep in concentration!

As you can see we both went for the same material, but its so awesome! It also matches the changing bag that I have for my little boy and has now found a lovely home staying safe in there for any shop visits I have! I used to always end up going and having to buy a bag as I always forgot to carry one with me! Now I have my very own handmade bag, I will always have a bag handy.. and with how my sewing went, it has very sturdy handles!

Jools had to help me to re thread the machine several times, as I just couldn’t get the hang of that! Then as we were nearing finishing our bags, I was starting to get the hang of it! I was super chuffed that my sister and I both ended up with near perfect bags and in such a beautiful pattern! I wouldn’t have been able to do it at all if I hadn’t had the guidance from Jools! It was such a fun experience and I would highly recommended it! We chatted, laughed and just had lots of fun while being productive! Thank you Jools and I am pretty sure my sister and I will be back to do the cushion course shortly!

How excited does my sister and myself look about our complete bags! We just couldn’t wait to use them that we had to stop on the way home to go to a shop and test them out! We then went to Jools house for a lovely lunch before heading out for a nosey at a few other shops!

I enjoyed myself so much that I am now looking at getting myself a sewing machine and making lots or other crafty makes! My daughter already has a request in for some clothes for her babies! eek! Any advice on what sewing machine you guys would go for? I’m so confused .. there is like 1000000 different ones!

I will be blogging again soon my lovelies!
